10 reasons to join ISA in Nashville for Assets 2011

February 18-21, ISA will be in Nashville, TN for Assets 2011- Appraising America, this year’s annual conference. There are so many reasons you should join us! Here are some of the top ones…

10. Great speakers. Joseph Bothwell , from the IRS Art advisory panel, will open the conference on Saturday morning. Leigh Keno, of Keno Auctions will speak on due diligence in one of the closing sessions on Monday.

9. The price. Conference registration prices have been lowered from 2010 pricing, flights to Nashville are inexpensive, and we have a great hotel rate of $169 a night single/double. Attending conference is an investment in your education and it’s one you won’t regret!

8. Nashville is a fantastic destination to visit even if ISA weren’t having Assets 2011 there! The Gaylord Opryland, our conference hotel, is a wonderful place to explore as well, with beautiful waterfalls and gardens everywhere you turn. Plus, Nashville is an easily accessible city with an international airport just 10 minutes from the Gaylord. For more information about Nashville, click over to http://www.visitmusiccity.com/

7. A great selection of vendors have made the commitment to support ISA and join us in Nashville. Their sponsor tables will be conveniently set up by the main lecture hall, allowing you to visit with them during the morning and afternoon coffee networking breaks.

6. Support the Foundation for Appraisal Education and their mission to promote the advancement of education related to personal property appraising, through their silent and live auctions. The Foundation will have a multitude of interesting items available to bid on, from books to trips!

5. The meeting committee has done a wonderful job of selecting speakers that appeal to a wide array of specialties. Sunday will be a day of breakouts, but never more than two at once, hopefully making your choices a little easier! Topics include sessions on Southern pottery, silversmithing, furniture, black and white photographs, frames, and more! Visit http://www.assets2011.org/ for detailed session descriptions.

4. The food will be fantastic – a true Southern treat. A hot breakfast buffet starts things off on Saturday morning with a scrambled egg bar, and at Sunday night’s dinner there will even be S’mores!

3. Don’t miss out on your chance to take home this year’s conference tote bag, provided by member Matt McNeil, ISA CAPP. (Thanks Matt!)

2. New programming will be offered to make the most out of your time at conference. From special attention to first time attendees (there are over 30 registered!) to a Meet the Speakers Reception to extend your time with the speakers, you don’t want to miss out on the exciting things happening.

1. And the number one reason to attend Assets 2011 is the people and networking, of course! The connections made at conference are the type that can last a lifetime.
